Microbes are all around us and even within us! Dr. Andrew Patterson’s Integrative Analysis for Metabolic Phenotypes NIH T32 Fellows at Penn State are working to understand the host-metabolite-microbiota communication network. Participants of this in-person workshop will explore the microbes in the environment and microbes on the body. Participants will also learn how researchers measure microbial interaction through techniques like sequencing and metabolomics. With support from Dr. Patterson, his graduate students, and CSATS, teachers will leave the workshop with knowledge and activities to bring the microbiome into your classroom!
